1. download and install: Edcast (a free broadcasting app.) - here's the direct link (just make sure you choose the 'standalone' version)
2. download the lame and aac audio codecs here (for legal reasons Edcast cannot bundle these 2 in the installer) and copy them into the following directory: C:\Program Files\edcast
3. open Edcast, right-click the existing Encoder and choose: 'Configure'

4. match your settings with the following screenshot:

5. think about a show name...now type it into the 'Stream Name' field.
while you're there you might as well type in a 'Stream Description' too.

6. select your audio source from the drop-down list
note: for creative-based cards, the 'stereo mix' channel doesn't exist...so out of the available channels to choose from..."what u hear" is the one you want.

7. click the 'Peak Meter' to enable it and slide the slider so you aren't going into the red too much, just a little is okay (listeners will soon complain if your stream is distorting!)
8. Register on the forum and post your show's tracklisting in the Playlist forum (which displays on the homepage)
